You come up over the hill and see a decently sized but certainly not well maintained wall to the city. You thought you heard a great ruckas as you approached but with the slam of the iron wrought gates, there is silence.
*crunch, crunch* you hear the sounds of slow footsteps coming from your right, coming from further along the wall. You hear them more clearly as they approach. Their telltale groans.
The dead have arisen.
