Where The Lost Lay
Flesh. Blood. Bone. That's all that's left. Pretty words and ancient memorials rouse people's hearts, ease their pain - but in the end, nothing can bring them back. The bleakest parts of this place, this tomb, echo with ancient memories and black secrets. A fortress, a place of solitude, a place where the water runs and the machines churn endlessly, achieving nothing - meant to achieve nothing.
Haunted? No. No such things inhabit this place. There is only nothing here, only remembrance above, only celebration of lives above that. Memorials? No, this part of the tomb is not for memorials - it is, if nothing else, a monument to a war that took too much from everyone. It is a place where the ashes rest.
Ashes to ashes.
Dust to dust.
Flesh, blood, and bone.
