The Bell Tower at Notre Dame
A bat's fluttering wings echo in the rafters above and cold wind howls and beats against the tower's stone walls. Below, both the righteous and the unrepentant pass among the flickering candlelight, footsteps reverberating off of the saint's watchful statues. The delicate first notes of a choir permeate the air. It seems almost irreverent to interrupt them, but high in your damp tower, it is almost midnight. Soon, you'll have to ring the bell.
