You're Harriet Vane, famous writer of detective novels, returned to your alma mater of Shrewsbury College in Oxford in order to assist one of the professors with her work and also to help solve a mysterious poison pen situation. Seated at a table in the Senior Common Room near an open window through which you can hear the undergraduate students conversing on the lawn, with a cup of tea close at hand, you shuffle through Miss Lydgate's papers and books making notes, while at the back of your mind is the persistent idea that this is your true home and maybe you should return here to study and write as a fellow of the college.
