Lost in a blizzard
The hike wasn't supposed to be that long and it should've been much harder to have gotten lost. Unfortunately, both of those things were discovered to be untrue.
So, now here you are, hours later, wind raging past your ears, breath whooshing uselessly out of your lungs as your extremities go numb, stumbling, trying to get out of the woods.
It's so dark... So cold and dark...
