He'd been keeping up on the latest reports the papers had to share about the recent scandal and following murders. The whole town was in an uproar, but he just didn't care anymore. There would always be a case like this, and then another, and another. He was tired of fighting this useless cycle. He was tired of the people; he was tired of the city, and he was tired of the rain. He was finally leaving, and never coming back.
