L'aube Sanglante
The first streaks of sunlight filters through the clouds, painting the ocean red as you stretch your arms up. It's been nearly two weeks since the crew of the pirate ship, L'aube Sanglante, has seen another vessel. It was quiet on board, especially at this time of morning. Usually assigned the last shift of the watch, you seen more than your fair share of sunrises setting the sea ablaze with a myriad of oranges, pinks, and yellows. The sight of something dark off on the horizon interrupts your thoughts. Yawning, you pick up a spyglass and peer through the tube. All drowsiness disappears and you can't suppress a grin as you spot the flag of a merchant ship. You reach over and yank the bell as hard as you can. The crew thunders about below you as all prepare for battle.
