Hag's Plummet
wanted to be young and beautiful forever, so she visited the Marsh witch. The Marsh witch gave her an elixir, but warned her, if she ever fell in love, the age would come crashing down on her instantly. For many long, lonely years, Bevanka remained beautiful. She met a beautiful man on this cliff by the side of the sea, and felt the age descend. She looked hopefully at the handsome swain, in hopes that love would conquer all. It didn't. She shrieked in despair when she saw the disgust and horror on his face, and flung herself into the sea.
