Dystopian Underground
Down here is dim and dirty, cold and damp - but down here is your life, and that's not nothin'. Up above, they say, there are no people, only animals gone mad - or maybe it's people gone mad, gone animal, gone all ... hungry. There's food, after a fashion, and it's safe enough as long as the power stays on. The brave ones go exploring - the tunnels never seem to end, and there might be trains to scavenge. Maybe other scavengers, though, and territory matters down here, territory's worth killing for. Others stay, poring over pages of forgotten books, learning from the past and dreaming of a different future.
