Airship Travel - Cloudfleet
Huge connected system of aircrafts and scaffolds led by two massive airships at the helm. Some of the ships in the system are hard fastened to the core system and never separate. They basically just keep some brumestone crystals alive to help keep the city afloat. Some are simply tethered temporarily with massive cables, and are pulled in tow while waiting to leave on their next mission. Around these ships are a swarm of free flying ships that keep a loose formation. Some are patrols that make large loops around the massive structure, others simply drift lazily alongside, or serve as taxis to shuttle people from one section of the fleet to another. Other sections are connected by cablecars, and it is a common and deadly passtime to attempt to use the tethering cables between ships as makeship ziplines.
Hanging off the bottom of Cloudfleet are the ‘birdcages’ - gristly dangling cells where those who become unpopular in the fleet are left to either freeze or bake in the sun as the weather dictates.
